this place is just awful. Even for a chain, the food is really terrible. I was about to order a pasta dish and the waitress actually told me not to because it was so bad. I ended up order the Chicken Parm, which was flavorless and limp. The restaurant itself is drafty, and there is no ambiance. Waitstaff was pretty decent, and we got seated quickly enough, but the food is just appalling. My date had a similarly mediocre meal (Chicken Marsala.) AVOID!

We needed a quick bite to eat so we decided to come here. I was in the mood for pizza, but they dont have pineapple as a selectable topping. So alternatively i decided to ordered some baked Tortilini chicken dish. It was a pretty big portion and they give u salad and bread (this is lunch). It was an ok meal.

Ugh. This place is awful. I don't know about their other locations, but the one in Plymouth Meeting is the worst. I've only been here twice, but that was enough. My first visit was about 2 years ago... The service was soooo slow. At one point me and my date actually watched our waiter stand outside our window smoke a cigarette while we were waiting for drinks. Oh, and of course he didn't wash his hands before coming back to the table. Our food took forever which is uncalled for. The place was empty. I got some kind of chicken salad and it was disgusting. The salad wasn't fresh at all and the chicken tasted like a wet dish rag. That was the first visit. As for the second recent visit. I went after a rough day at work with a friend, even though I slightly resisted because of my previous bad experience. Again, service was super slow. When I ask for an extra minute to look at the menu, that doesn't mean come back 10 minutes later. Again, wasn't even busy. Like 3 other tables. Okay, so super slow crappy service. I just got some kind of sauce and bread thing. Bread was burnt, so was the top of the sauce. I'd rather not have my meal charred. The only good part of the meal is their complimentary olive oil and rolls. My main gripe with this visit was our waitress. I had asked her to only charge my card my amount, I was dining with a friend and had a very strict limit I could spend. About 2 hours after I left I noticed that our "lovely" waitress had actually charged my card TWICE, which made my account go below what I needed to stay in my account for my auto paid cell phone bill two days after. I called and complained and the manager said that it was a mistake and that the waitress voided it. Okay, but even though she voided it. it still showed up as pending for exactly a week which meant my bank account was in the negative that whole time. THANKS DUMMY! I had to deal with so much hassle with my bank and my phone provider, just because of her. I will definitely never be coming back to this establishment and I'm going to place a formal complaint with the company. Save your money and frustration. Don't eat here. If you're at the mall go to Whole Foods or PF Changs. Both are amazing.

My husband and I were visiting our hometowns and decided we would go to Bertucci's for dinner. I had only been here once before, but it was back in 2004 before I moved away, so I was looking forward to eating there again. We arrived during an off period on a Sunday evening, and it wasn't that crowded. However, they seems to seat us in a room that was off the rest of the dining room. I am assuming that it's normally used for larger parties and overflow. Well, it was us next to a very loud table, and it was right near the window on the inside of the mall, so anyone walking by can see us sitting there. While that's not necessarily the issue, the sun was coming down right through the window and reflecting off the doors of the mall, which was annoyingly bright. Our server was Adrianna, and she was very nice. She was attentive, and just an all around decent server. The food was delicious, and the service was great. Aside from being seated in a weird area next to a loud table, I give it 4 stars, and would likely eat there again.

I tend to want to go to Bertucci's specifically for their dinner rolls. They are awesome. I usually stay away from their pizza as for some reason my stomach doesn't agree with it. I almost always order the steak and chicken combo which can't be beat for the price.

This was our first visit to Bertucci's and may be the last. My wife and I had a great meal up until the end. At the end of the meal we politely declined desert and requested to go boxes for our leftovers. Our server (Kaitlyn) brought our boxes and promptly disappeared. For over half an hour (enough time for each of us to use the restroom in turn) we waited for our check. I eventually went to the main counter and waited for several people to place or pickup to go orders and was then ignored by the man running the register. Eventually another gentleman approached and asked if I needed help. I told him that I just wanted my check so I could go home. He brought it over to us and I paid quickly so we could get out of there. I was further disappointed that we were not given any discount or incentive to return. Clearly this place doesn't care about repeat business. (a Starbucks that same day gave me a free drink because the barista messed up my order without me complaining. I don't understand why Bertucci's doesn't care for customers the same way) The food was really good, but the service was so bad I may never eat there again. The same happened for the folks at the table next to us too who also shared the same waitress. This place is only getting the second star because the food was delicious, otherwise this place is terrible.

This is a great, easy dinner place. The rolls are so good, we practically go there just for them! The food is good, prices are good for what you get, and I've always had a friendly waiter. I like this place a lot better than CPK next door.

I was really pissed off after going here. I would give it zero stars based on service alone. You need to know what happened here. I will never go back to this place. I took my best friend out to dinner here, just because I had a $25 gift card and I had just gotten my annual bonus check. Plus he had just helped me move some new furniture into my apartment. (It's pertinent to point out that I am 5'7" and very white while my friend is 6'4" or something and very black) We walked in and sat down by the door waiting to be waited on. It took about five minutes. The hostess walked us past two good sized booths (obviously preferable for a guy my friend's size) and sat us at a tiny two-top on the back wall. Odd. But I didn't think anything of it. 5 minutes later the waiter, Mike, stops by and says "Hey I'll be right back to get your drink orders." Isn't it at all possible to take our orders and put them in at the bar while you're getting to other customers? What about getting one of the oh-so-bored hostesses to get our drinks for us? I've been a hostess at a chain before and I got plenty of drink orders on busy nights. Whatever. 5 minutes (or what felt like 10) later he takes our orders. I want a Yuengling, in a bottle if possible. My friend wants a Bud. He comes back 5 minutes LATER to tell me they only have Yuengling on draft. 1) Isn't it a no-brainer? 2) How long does it take to find out if they have a beer in a bottle or not?? Again, whatever. Every minute that goes by I'm counting against his tip. Busy or not, this isn't making me a happy customer. After he got our food orders our plates came fairly quickly, which tells me they're not quite as backed up as they looked. I got some lemon chicken with capers. My friend got some sort of steak. Both dishes came with a side of moderately-undesirable linguini. Sure... that makes sense. This is the part that really grinds the hell out of my gears. We were chatting - no hurry, the place was clearing out. We told the guy we were going to order dessert in a bit, that we were just catching up, but he came back every 3 minutes to ask if we were ready for dessert. At one point, I guess because he didn't want to seem like he was pestering us, he decided to take my plates. Ok, that's cool, gives me elbow room. But he left my friend's side alone. Plates all over. He couldn't even lean over the table. Our bread basket was still sitting on his side from before the meal. The waiter came back again, to actually take our 'dessert' orders (I had a short glass of Bailey's straight and my friend had a rum and coke, which they put in a tall skinny froofy-drink glass... WTF?) and yet he still didn't tough my friend's plates. He didn't even pay attention to him until we stacked the plates and put them all right in the center of the edge of the table. The entire time the waiter barely ever made eye contact with my friend, and except when he was taking his orders, he always talked to me ("How is everything?" "You ready for dessert?"). Even when he brought the check he put it right in front of me. Sure this satiated my feminist instincts, but it really grated on my anti-racist instincts. It wasn't until after we loudly discussed his blatant behavior in front of a hostess clearing off the table next to us that he decided to pay any attention to my friend, which was awkward, because I was the one handing him the check folio. I know it's not kosher, but I gave him a shitty tip and I stole his pen. I wanted to make a big fuss at the manager, but I didn't have the balls to talk to someone about it. I'm really bad at reacting appropriately in the moment.

While I can't speak for the previous reviewers experience, all restaurants can have a bad server. She should have talked to a manager, I'm sure they would have taken care of the situation. I frequent Bertuccis and I have been to many locations all along the east coast. The food is always consistent and fresh and the service is always friendly. The Plymouth Meeting location is absolutely no exception! If you want a simple fresh Italian food, great home made rolls, or an excellent brick oven pizza I'd highly recommend Bertuccis!!

so we were going to KIng's buffet in plymouth meeting for mother's day-30 minute wait so we walked around and found the bertucci's- no lines,no waiting.knowing the bertucci's in kop and glen mills is very good we decieded to go there-there was a reason there was no line.the place is filhy-the bathroom floor looked like a truck stop.the table was so greasy the kids could play tic tack toe.when the server finally came(i had to ask for one)he was like a rat on crack-his hands where shaking so bad he couldn't hold stuff and his hair was greasy and dirty.the food was good except for the salad without dressing and i am still waiting for my crushed red pepper.the manager gave us comp cards for the next time we go-trust and believe it will not be at the plymouth meeting location....

This was good, but it wasn't the best chain Italian I've had. The salad was mediocre without much in the ways of mixed greens and they only had the sides were were a little strange. It was not a bad meal, don't get me wrong. It was good. Just not the best.

I enjoyed the Bertucci's in Springfield. But this one was different. To be fair, I ordered something different in this one--a pizza special, and it was very weird. Not bad, but a very weird combination of flavors, like maybe the person preparing the food got the new recipe wrong. The service was also weird--our server was so chatty he actually sat down with us. I thought this was strange, and it made me uncomfortable.

When I moved to the area, I was happy to hear there was a Bertucci's in the mall. Bertucci's is one of the best chain Italian restaurants. Their pizza sauce is delicious and I've never had anything that I've disliked. I've always had attentive and friendly servers at this Bertucci's. The only negative I would point out is that their desserts are uninspiring. This is a great place to grab a cheap and delicious bite to eat.

Bertucci's is our favorite restaurant! The service has gotten SO much better over the past few months and the food is always great! If you have not been there in a while then recommend you go soon!

"This place is awful"- mom This restaurant was decent and I felt the service was great. I ordered the shrimp scampi and although it looked bland, it was tasty, but with a bit too much garlic. The drink I ordered was bland, it had absolutely no flavor and no taste, just like water. My mom complained the whole time about having no garlic on her pizza. Our experience could have been better, and we all agreed that we should have gone to P.F. Changs.

Eh. I would avoid this chain and go to one of the many other restaurants nearby. Heck, head over to the Chipotle right down the street for a cheaper and tastier meal. The food is very underwhelming. My stromboli was soggy and had a hair in it. The customized pizzas are skimpy with the toppings. The salads are disgustingly overdressed. The sole reason that Bertucci's gets 2 stars instead of 1 star is the complimentary rolls, which are served warm with butter and olive oil.

Menu pictures are definitely better than the actual dishes. Three members of our party ordered shrimp scampi - it was so bland and unappetizing-looking. The shrimp looked anemic and overloaded with garlic. I actually took some for my Puccilli pizza which on the other hand was somewhat good. Only because it was loaded with veggies, sausage and good sauce. Oven fired always makes it good. Waiter nice friendly and courteous. Overall I would only recommend if you didn't have any other choice. I personally wouldn't come back.

My girlfriend and I have been to this Bertucci's many times and have decided to give it 4 stars for the food. We have never had a horrible experience as other Yelpers explain on here but also usually eat here when it is less busy. As for the food, it is an italian chain restaurant so you obviously can't expect it to taste like it is straight out of an italian's kitchen. For a cheap italian meal, this place has some decent food. We have also had some very friendly, efficient waitresses here as well as some who weren't as good but this can be expected with most chain restaurants not serving 5 star dinners. We usually begin our meal with the appetizer sampler that contains wings, meatballs, and fried mozzarella. We also order pizza 90% of the time from here as they make very good pizza from margherita to four cheese white with prosciutto and caramelized onions. We have also tried some other appetizers as well as some entrees and never been disappointed by the food here. Overall, we would recommend this place to anyone who just wants a casual italian meal with pizza.

DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SICK!!! I came to eat dinner with my wife and witnessed servers putting toppings on pizzas with their bare hands, wiping their hands on their clothes, and then putting more toppings on pizzas. If I worked for the health department, this place would be shut down.

Came here for a quick bite to eat after shopping at the mall. I had the ultimate pizza, which was tasty and my boyfriend had the chicken parm. Chicken parm came with three good size pieces that were good. Food wasn't spectacular, but it was good and we would eat there again.

I being the beer afficianado always have to order a Peroni, their Italian beer. I always order the shrimp bella napoli pizza which is really good. Just wish they had more Italian beers to choose from. Overall a good place if you want a quick meal.

Awful. Save your money. Food is terrible and usually the wrong order when you finally do get it. Service is rude and lazy. Absolutely a terrible experience all around.

This is not the top of the line for Italian, and surely not very authentic, but the food is decent and inexpensive, and we've only ever had good service there.

I came with with fairly moderate expectations and had been to another location a few years previous. The gentlemen who greeted us and sat us was very pleasant and enthusiatic about telling us about their bar and promotional offerings. Our server was friendly but we did have a negative experience when she brought us our bread. She tipped one of the table special menus into the plate with olive oil and quickly picked it up. I kept expecting her to get a new one but when she walked away I had to ask her if she was going to bring a replacement which is when she smiled and said "I was hoping you didn't see that." It's things like that that make me lose faith in what could be happening in the kitchen. Beyond that that food was ok, nothing special, but the server was seen very little after bringing us the food.

Worst dining experience ever... ordered stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer they were mediocre then I ordered a Caesar salad that came out with iceberg lettuce and when I question the server he said oh yeah sorry we were out of romaine lettuce so I had him throw a spring roll mix (which was just iceberg lettuce) together for you instead of coming to ask me if I would like somthing different then not even 3 minutes after our salad and appetizers came out they brought the main course we hadn't even finished the appetizer let alone touch the salad... The salad was wilted and the fettucini alfredo is the worst example of fettucini alfredo I ever had in my life and the portion size was tiny...Needless to say I would not recommend this place nor will I ever be going back...

Friendly server... good food. Not cheap, but a nice restaurant and employees were accommodating. I liked the outside seating, but wish it wasn't smoke-free (lol).

Dear Lord, why do I continue to do this to myself! Why don't I take a hint when you give me one?? Boy was this disappointing! I honestly don't get how one restaurant in a chain can be so different from another, at least when it comes to food. I've been to both this and the Bertucci's in Bryn Mawr and the difference is staggering. Here the service is fantastic but the food a whole big pile of meh, while it was the exact opposite at the other one. I must say that our waitress was fantastic. Some of the best service I've had in a while. So I can't fault her for the less than steller sangria (i've had better wine in church) or the terrible entrées. She is definitely the reason why they get 2 stars. Otherwise, it would have been a big fail. That being said, my parents, brother and I came here for lunch and I wish we hadn't. I admit that everything before the entrées came was pretty okay. I had the shrimp and corn bisque which was delicious, my parents agreed the minestrone was good, and the tuscan chicken wings were tasty. The salad could have been way better. I'm with the school of thought that takes the center out of iceberg lettuce, but Bertucci's seems to prefer using every bit of it, including the browning parts. I could make a better salad at home. In a large bowl there were about 2 grape tomatoes and the rest was lettuce and some onions. Rabbits would have loved it. Now on to the entrées. I've never seen such a big bowl of fail in my life (when it comes to food that is). How can a kitchen make every entrée ordered taste so weird and disgusting. I ordered the chicken piccata and couldn't get past one bite. I spent the rest of the meal contemplating how I can fix this culinary mess when I get home. It was supposed to have a lemony taste (and I love lemons- i eat them by themselves all the time) but it tasted...i can't even describe how offended i was. I tried my mothers chicken parmesan and it was marginally better. And that margin was tiny. I'm still trying to figure out how one screws up chicken parmesan. My father ordered the chicken marsala. There's no way that was marsala wine sauce. It tasted burnt and just plain weird. Honestly all three dishes had the weirded tastes. I've eaten at the other Bertucci's and the food was nothing like this. I'm pretty surprised we didn't complain, but the damage was done and we doubted the kitchen could repair it. Never again. I should have just gone to Chipotle.

If there is a line at California Pizza Kitchen it is no problem to go to eat here. Great bread and olive oil. Very good service. Pretty decent food. Price is reasonable for what you get. Very pleased. The kids meals were generous portions and nice selection. I'll return here.
